DESCRIPTION

Kumo is one of the most fluid pieces in the Ancient 2026 collection.

Inspired by Japanese ornamental patterns, this earring represents movement, transition, and connection between planes.

In traditional Japanese art, clouds—kumo—appear as stylized forms that adorn textiles, ceramics, and paintings. They are not merely decorative elements: they symbolize the transition between the human and spiritual worlds.

For centuries, these same motifs have been adopted in traditional Japanese tattooing, where clouds envelop dragons, flowers, or mythical creatures, adding depth and dynamism to the composition.

Kumo translates that curved and organic pattern into a jewel format, creating a silhouette that seems to glide softly over the skin. It is a light symbol, yet imbued with history.

It is a piece designed for those who understand that movement is also identity.

Each earring is precisely engraved and assembled, combining mirror acrylic and mother-of-pearl acrylic to create contrast and volume.

It's not just an earring.
It's fluidity in form.

• Material: Mirror acrylic and mother-of-pearl acrylic
• Color: Silver combined with blue or gold combined with pink
• Hoops: Stainless steel
• Total earring size: 7 cm
• Lightweight and comfortable
• Available in a version for stretched earlobes

CARES

To preserve the mirror-effect shine and the acrylic finish:

• Avoid contact with water, perfumes, or chemical products
• Store separately to prevent scratches
• Clean gently with a dry cloth

It is a dynamically shaped piece, but delicate in care.

DESIGN

Ornamental clouds have been a recurring element in classical Japanese art and traditional tattooing. They provide movement, atmosphere, and narrative depth.

Ancient reinterprets this ancestral motif from a contemporary perspective, maintaining its symbolic essence and graphic elegance.

Movement. Transition. History.
